Sierra View Reference Letters

Available Puppies

We love our P.J.! P.J. is our black/tan brindle female from Sierra View Dachshunds.
My wife Pati, and I, work at the nation's largest long-term care hospital. In our search for an
appropriate breed to train as a social therapy pet, we found the Sierra View Dachshunds
website. And we are so happy that we did! It is clear that Lisa & Sharde' take a great
deal of care in socializing their puppies. P.J. socializes wonderfully with both people and other
dogs. P.J. is also very confident, smart, and quite frisky. Our patients love her! P.J. is
everything, and more, than we hoped for. She is our family pet, co-worker, and best
friend. P.J. is a good girl, thank you Sierra View Dachshunds!

Sincerely,

"We highly recommend getting a puppy from Sierra View Dachshunds! We checked around and they seemed to
have the best approach to raising dachshunds. Our hunch was confirmed when we met Lisa and
her daughters (who help raise the little ones). They are extremely friendly and affectionate and it shows.

Our brindle baby boy, Buster, is doing extremely well. He is now just over 6
months, has been neutered, and the Vet gave him an A+ on his health. His
personality is wonderful - docile, super sweet, and of course, humorous! In
addition, he is quite sociable and smart as a whip! We feel very fortunate to
have this little guy in our lives."

Sincerely,

DEAR LISA AND SHARDE' -

WHEN WE FIRST BEGAN OUR QUEST TO ADOPT A "NEW MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY" I BEGAN SEARCHING ON-LINE. WE KNEW WE WANTED A MINIATURE DACHSHUND BECAUSE I'VE GROWN UP WITH THEM AND KNEW WHAT GREAT PETS THEY MADE. I KEPT FINDING MYSELF RETURNING TO THE SIERRA VIEW WEBSITE. I'M SO GLAD I DID. I FILLED OUT THE PUPPY APPLICATION AND THE RESPONSE FROM LISA WAS IMMEDIATE. SHE ASKED ME SEVERAL QUESTIONS TO MAKE THE RIGHT MATCH. THE ONLY REQUEST I HAD WAS A "RED DAPPLE FEMALE." THE REST WAS UP TO HER AND LISA MADE ME FEEL AS IF SHE KNEW JUST WHAT PUPPY WOULD BE RIGHTS FOR US. "EMERSON" WAS BORN JANUARY 28TH AND IT WAS "LOVE AT FIRST SITE!" SHE WAS SO UNIQUE AND HER MARKINGS HAVE ONLY CONTINUED TO MAKE HER ONE OF A KIND. THE EXCITEMENT GREW EACH WEEK AS WE RECEIVED UPDATED WEEKLY PHOTOS OF HER WATCHING HER GROW INTO A BEAUTIFUL, AMAZINGLY MARKED RED DAPPLE PUP. FROM HER VERY FIRST OUTING TO THE VET (WHOM WAS VERY COMPLIMENTARY ON HER LOOKS, BUILD AND TEMPERAMENT) TO OUR WALKS WE TAKE TO SCHOOL EACH DAY, WE ARE STOPPED BY PEOPLE COMPLIMENTING HOW PRETTY HER MARKINGS ARE AND HOW CUTE SHE IS... THE STRIPE DOWN HER FACE IS ALWAYS AN EYE CATCHER. BESIDES "EMMY'S" LOOKS, SHE HAS A WONDERFUL, PATIENT, PEOPLE FRIENDLY PERSONALITY. NEVER SHOWING AGGRESSION TO MY 4 CHILDREN, OUR CAT OR VISITORS. SHE WELCOMES ALL WITH A WAGGING TALE. IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THE PUPS ARE WELL ADAPTED TO PEOPLE FROM DAY ONE AND THAT THEY'VE HAD CONSTANT INTERACTION WITH CHILDREN. THIS WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO US AS WE HAVE 4 SMALL CHILDREN AGES 10, 8, 6 AND 3 AND KNEW OUR NEW PUP WOULD NEED TO BE TOLERANT. SHE'S NOT ONLY BECOME OUR KIDS BEST FRIEND, BUT "EMMY" AND "RUSTY" OUR CAT ARE "NON-STOP WRESTLING BUDDIES!" OUR EXPERIENCE WAS THE BEST... NOT A DAY OF REGRET AND I THANK BOTH LISA AND HER DAUGHTER SHARDE' FOR BEING EDUCATED BREEDERS, QUICK TO RESPOND TO ALL CORRESPONDENCE AND HAVING ALL THE ANSWERS I NEEDED TO MAKE A KNOWLEDGEABLE DECISION. I WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN TO SIERRA VIEW AND HAVE FORWARDED THEIR "EASY TO NAVIGATE" WEB SITE TO MANY. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR OUR "EMERSON!"

Dear, Lisa Garcia

I would highly recommend you to anyone wanting a Dachshund. As promised by
your Web site your pets are healthy and come with AKC registration papers from a
loving home. I couldn't be happier with the level of quality and professionalism that
you have in running your establishment. You have been very knowledgeable and
helpfull with any question's that I have had. If I ever want a second puppy I know
the first place to call.

Thank You So Much,

Lisa & Sharde',

We cannot thank you enough for sending us such a wonderful puppy! From the
moment we held Buster in our arms after picking him up at the airport, we
knew he would be an amazing dog. He managed the flight just fine and
adapted almost immediately to his new environment. From the very beginning,
Buster has been a sweet, kind, and energetic little puppy -- we are stopped
at least 10 or 15 times every time we go out for a walk because of his
adorable face and friendly personality. When he meets people or other dogs,
he approaches them tail-wagging and never displays any forms of aggression.
We know that your time and patience in socializing him with both people and
other dogs has made all the difference in the world.

He also arrived to us very healthy and happy, which the vet confirmed on his
first visit. The time you took in providing us with his medical history and
clear directions for his medical procedures was also very helpful. Because
of your initial love and care, Buster continues to grow into a exhuberant,
strong dog with a love for life (and toys)! We would always purchase any
dachshund pups from you in the future, as we know that we can trust you both
to raise quality, happy dogs. We know that our baby Buster will be with us
for a long time and thank you both for helping us find him!

Best,

Dear Lisa & Sharde',

We want to thank you for our little Miles. He brings so much warmth and
laughter into our family. I would definitely purchase our next puppy from you guys
again. You made the experience of picking and waiting for our puppy very exciting.
We appreciated the weekly reports and photos of our puppy. You answered all our
questions immediately. I would definitely recommend anyone to purchase their
puppies from Sierra View Dachshunds. You guys do a great job with your dogs. Miles is
now 9 ½ weeks old and is in perfect health. Our kids treat him like he is their little brother. Miles
is definitely part of our family now. And we wouldn’t trade him for the world. Thank You !!!

Take Care,

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

Lisa and Sharde,
As long time owners of dachshunds we want to tell you how much we are enjoying Millie. We own two
other miniature Doxies and Millie makes three. In the short time that we have had her she
has improved our quality of life a great deal. We love her very much! Furthermore she is getting
along well with both Samantha and Molly and they will soon be a real trio! We can not say enough good
things about our experience in dealing with both of you throughout the entire process. It was
so great to see pictures of our dog as she grew and developed during her first couple of months of life.
We highly recommend Sierraview to all who would choose to purchase a mini doxie! In fact we
are going to practice what we preach as we have decided to purchase another from you in the near future!
Thanks again for all of your help and hard work. Your puppies are the best!

I am very happy to recommend Sierra View Dachshunds to an individual or
family that may be looking for a miniature dachshund. Our newest
additions, Heidi and Molly, have brought much joy to our family, and
will undoubtedly continue to do so for many years to come. We, as well
as our vet, were very impressed with their health, activity level,
disposition, etc. We are grateful to Lisa and Sharde` for making this
possible.

We are the proud owners of a Sierraview Miniature doxie. This is our 3rd dachshund
but our first experience with Sierraview. From the beginning it was a memorable experience
in getting our puppy. The contact and weekly updates on our Miss Genevieve were not only fun
and exciting to get but we felt like we were a part of her puppy experience from the start. The
loving care that Lisa and her family give to these puppies shows immediately from the first time
you meet your puppy. We were so surprised at how well socialized our Miss Genevieve was compared
to our other doxies at the same age. There was such a huge difference that was noticeable from the start.
When we brought her home she had no trouble fitting right in with our family and took to our
2 year old doxie right a way. We would recommend Sierraview to anyone wanting a miniature dachshund
that is not only AKC registered but is well socialized, loved, and raised with the best interest
of the puppy first and foremost in the breeders mind.

Thank you Lisa and Sharde’ for such a wonderful puppy experience!!!!!!!

Sharon, Tom, Clara, Elliott, & Heidi Nelson

And of course Genevieve(blk/tan piebald) and Lucy (our dapple doxie)thanks you too!!

Sierra View Dachshunds

Dear Lisa and Sharde`,

We just wanted to thank you again for our dachshund, Sienna. If you ever need a recommendation,
I would not hesitate to give you one. From our first contact till we actually picked up our puppy,
you were friendly, helpful and reliable. I learned a lot of new information about how to care for dachshunds.
And the pictures you sent each week were wonderful. And Sienna is amazing, sweet and cuddly.
You obviously took excellent care of her.

Thank you,

Hi Lisa and Sharde'

Just wanted to let you know how much we love Phoebe.
She adjusted to our family very quickly and obviously feels secure. We think she is perfect!!
She had her first trip to our vet last Friday and got her second shot. They kiddingly asked if
I could just leave her there for the day so they could play with her. The doctor remarked
that it was obvious I had gotten her from a very conscientious and professional breeder.
She loved your organized paper work on Phoebe. Thank you so much.

It was such a pleasure working with you.

Sincerely,
Jane and Family

Dear Sierra View Dachshunds,

I am writing this letter of reference to let others know about
our experience in purchasing a dachshund from you.

I found your website by chance and was lucky enough to only live about an hour
away from you. I found your website to be very informative and helpful. After looking
long and hard for a new puppy, we contacted Sierra View and were instantly greeted by Sharde'.
She was very kind and understanding as to what we were looking for. All my questions were answered
in a very timely manner. I appreciated how much Sierra View loved their Dachshunds and wanted the right
home for the right puppy. Their professionalism was a great source of help to us and that made the purchase
of our puppy very smooth. We thought the "weekly updates" on our puppy was the best part of our experience.

We brought our new dachshund puppy home in early December and we have been so happy.
He is a very sweet, even tempered, loving, playful dog. We are so lucky to have him. He is
very good with our children and fit right in with our other dog who is almost 7 years old.
Scout, is our first dachshund and we can't ever see having any other kind of dog!

Thank you for Scout. He completes our family!

Sincerely,
Nannette and Brian Simmen

Dear Lisa & Sharde'
I want to thank you for all the support you have given me with the adoption and raising of my
two little doxies from Sierra View Dachshunds. My first puppy was born Dec. 2005. After I brought
her home and had her several months, I realized she needed a playmate. In August 2006 her brother
was born. I must have emailed Sharde' close to 500 times with questions, concerns, and information
about my pups and she has answered every single correspondence. Lisa & Sharde' are extremely
knowledgeable about the breed, and I believe they know more about dachshunds than my veterinarian!
I loved the weekly updates with pictures of my new babies! I would highly recommend Sierra View for anyone
considering getting a dachshund. SV breeds the best looking dachshunds I have seen (I have seen plenty, I go
to a dachshund dog park once a week). Whenever I take my doggies out for a walk, I am complimented on
how handsome they are. Thank you Lisa & Sharde' for my wonderful little dachshunds!

Dear Lisa and Sharde',

It has been a month, since we have had the pleasure of adding "Milo" to our family.
This is our fourth dachshund (he has 2 "brothers" and a "sister" now…they say dachshunds
are like potato chips…you cannot just have one). Milo has just been an absolute joy for us.
Besides being one of the absolute cutest dogs, I have ever seen, he is good natured, playful,
and very amusing. He gets along very well with our other 3 wieners, with the kids, and everybody
who has the pleasure of making his acquaintance.

As far as Sierra View Dachshunds goes, I cannot say enough about you as breeders.
You were very prompt answering all of our questions, negotiated a very nice price with us,
and gave my wife what she calls the best birthday present she ever received. You were very
accommodating on promptly getting this pup on the plane for me, helping me keep things mum for
a big surprise for my wife, and offered some very nice merchandise to help the puppy adjust to his new home.

I would highly recommend you as breeders. You have wonderful dogs, you have great
customer service skills, and are extremely nice people to deal with. I would be honored
if you would like to use us for a reference. Thank you again, for all your help in keeping
this a surprise for my wife, and all you have done in giving us the joy of "Milo".

Respectfully,
Jeff Brewer

Hi to all of the Garcias,

I want to confirm what you already know - what a delightful, healthy, cute and sweet puppy Ollie is! He has adapted so well to his new home with all of his cuddliness and easy going ways intact. We went to his vet and got a perfect report, plus he was such a love waiting quietly on my lap in his sack for a long time. What an amazing puppy he is! He even understands a quiet, firm no - not the doxie willfulness of maybe she doesn't really mean it .... I'll just try again and again. After raising a dachshund puppy ten years ago, I can appreciate all of the aspects of his personality which make him especially wonderful - energetic, loving, willing to please and intelligent!

He is respectful of Louie, my 10 year old dachshund, but invites him to play. They have had a couple of little spaz attacks - racing from room to room. We have all three curled up together, so our new little family is taking form so easily. You all have done such a great job breeding and raising the puppies until they go to their new homes. I knew when I met Ollie that he was special, but after living with him I am convinced he is even more wonderful than I expected.

I can't thank you enough for bringing such wonderful dogs into the world and into our lives. While puppy mills and horrible places still exist for unsuspecting people, the integrity and caring you exhibit is especially needed and appreciated.

I don't have a digital camera but one of these days I'll send you pictures of the updated Ollie.

Thanks again for your dedication and commitment to providing such lovely, healthy and loving dogs,

Love, Brenda, Louie and Ollie

"Ozzy" is doing great! I just love him. He is playful yet calm and quiet and cuddly - just what I wanted !! He is already in love with our female dachshund, Angie. It is so much fun to watch them play together. Angie took an instant liking to him and they play tug of war and chase. He comes running whenever I call his name. He went to my son's track meet and all the kids fell in love with him - quite the dachshund ambassador.

He is doing great at night as well - only crying a little before settling into his crate (right beside my bed). Of course, he has also already wormed his way into the bed in the mornings for some snuggle time. I hold him all the time, so he is quite spoiled already - but that's the way it's supposed to be when you are a mini dachshund.

I'll send some pictures soon.
