Dapple
|
A
pattern with a splotchy appearance, consisting of 2 or 3 different colors.
Dapples can have blue or green eyes or a mixture of both. Single Dapples
as pictured here are not
prone to the possible health issues that the Double Dapples are (see
below for more information).

Double Dapple
|
A pattern that
is produced when two (single) dapples are bred together. The difference
between a single dapple and a double dapple is that the double dapples
have alot of white on their body, whereas single dapples have very little
if any white at all. Dapples and Double Dapples can have blue or green
eyes or a mixture of both. We do not breed for the double dapple pattern
because of the possible health issues including deafness / blindness.

Piebald
|
A
pattern that consists of 2 or 3 colors. Piebalds are generally mostly
white with solid spots of color. Some can have the brindle pattern in
their spots (see pictures below). One difference between a piebald and
a double dapple is that it is impossible for Piebalds to have blue or
green eyes. Piebalds are a safe pattern and have no
related health issues. |
